The Forum, Newbridge Road, Bath, BA1
Previously an industrial site on the edge of the city of Bath conservation area the new development touched on three separate roads each with a differing character. At the heart of the masterplan was a new townscape square, which combines formal and informal elements in a way that is characteristic of English urban planning. The existing buildings on the site that fronted onto Newbridge Road inspired the design of the new buildings. Certain elements are common to all of the new buildings but there are also differing features that results from vary site characteristic and building types.
