The practice has 35 years experience of working on existing buildings. Although most of this work has been carried out to buildings in conservation areas, a 'conservation' approach is always adopted, even when working on buildings outside such areas. We are sympathetic to the character of the building and endeavour to reveal the original character where it has been disfigured by later alterations. Before preparing proposals for existing buildings we carefully carry out our own historical research. Were practical we will restore original details that have been lost.
